Is it ethical and legal to determine the sex of the child?

We have 6 boys as children but we desperately want a girl child. Is it ethical and legal if we determine the sex of the next child as girl?

I've never heard of anyone sued or arrested for trying for a girl or having an ultrasound or wanting a girl. You'll be fine. There is nothing wrong. Couples have been doing this for centuries.
